Agricultural and Rural Centre cic

Great News:

I am pleased to say that we have raised so far £500 towards our new Barn.   Our committee group are organising some great events so please see below for news.      Please keep supporting us by  donating by card or PayPal below.

The Agricultural and Rural Centre, is a specialist Not-For-Profit Centre that is built in Romiley, Stockport SK6 4BA.  A farm for anybody who has a disability, Mental health issue, or is socially disadvantaged due to age, gender, culture, poverty or any other reason.  The Arc-cic offers our participants the opportunity to work with animals and on the land.  We offer a unique and special opportunity to our customers allowing them the freedom to enjoy a "hands-on" approach with our animals.
To help raise funds for the centre, we offer, every Saturday, a Farm for Kids club which is open to all children aged 5 - 15 years. Why not book a Party at the Centre?  We offer birthday and Christmas parties with a difference.    We also do mobile farms and Incubator schemes to schools and nurseries.

Celebration Evening

The ARC were very proud of all the achievements that we celebrated on 23rd November 2015.   What an amazing night with nearly 100 guests who attended the evening to watch our participants receive their awards.  The night was made even more special by the attendance of The worshipful The Mayor and Mayoress of Stockport,  The Right honourable Mr William Wragg MP,  Councillor Mr Syd Lloyd and our guest of honour,   Linda Miles from The Brian Kennedy Trust who had recently funded the build of our new Nurture classroom.

Disaster struck the ARC on 2nd December 2015 when gale force winds and driving rains caused major damage to our stable block and Portacabin.  As many of you know, this isn't the first time that we have endured such damage due to the harsh British weather.  This time however, we have decided to fight back and are launching our 2016 BUILD THE ARC APPEAL  we aim to raise £15,000 in one year to purchase a new American style barn with 6 stables and indoor facilities.

If you would like to get involved then you can help in many ways:

1. Why not organise a fundraising event in aid of The ARC appeal?
2. Why not join our fundraising committee and share some time and idea's helping us to organise fundraising events.

3. If your very busy, then why not donate to our appeal. If everybody in Romiley donates £5.00 then we would reach our target by July 2016.
